Will I be rich? 

Haha, no😂. But I am providing for my wife and our son by myself, renting a small apartment, having a car🚗, and a garage, while living in a city of 100k people in Sweden. The fridge is full🥙🍹. If you are single or if your partner is also working, you will be fine. As an expert or team lead, you can actually make quite a bit of money .

How much is the payment?

Your contract will usually be signed for USD💲 currency, and payment will be made in USD or converted to your local currency, depending on the platform. The pay rate can differ a lot due to where you are located in the world🌏. E.g., doing generalist projects, in German or English, and located in Sweden, I am currently working for between 25 and 40 USD per hour. If you have some expert skills, you can make a lot more.

Are there always projects?

Yes and no. Always work on several platforms and never give up on a platform because it has pissed you off. Things always change quickly🔄. 

Insurance, vacation?

In 95% of all cases, you will be a contractor handling your own tax and only getting paid per hour if you work. No employee benefits👎. However, I do not remember when my alarm clock rang the last time❌⏰👍 . That's why I look like 30, although I am 39😎
